Guest Article Submission Guidelines:

1. Contact The Violet Ray to introduce yourself and let us know what you wish to write about. After we get back in touch with you then...

2. Attach a copy of the article in Word format to allow us time to evaluate the content .

3. Include the Title of your Article and a 30 Word Bio with your submission.

4. Feel free to submit more than one article to enable us to evaluate our content line-up and plan for all of the upcoming issues.

5. Suitable articles that are submitted will be kept on file until space becomes available in the appropriate issue.

6. The Violet Ray has minimal space available for guest articles per issue.

7. Rates apply to all other published articles.

Types Of Articles:

Personal Articles - These are articles that provide inspiration, encouragement and information to benefit our readers. Articles such as your personal wellness journey, challenges you have faced and overcome, insight you have gained through a certain experience, observations and encounters that you have been inspired by and wish to share with others and so forth. These articles can be up to 700 words in length.

Regular Columns - Are you a writer wishing to contribute a column on a regular basis?

If so,we will provide you with complete creative license to co-create your place in our publication - be it your own health cooking feature, a section on yoga or meditation, conscious relationships, parenting indigo children, developing your intuition, energetic healing - or what ever passion you would like to share with our readers.

We will offer you the opportunity of including a full page or 1/2 page article for the cost of printing and production. Contact Us for Rates to Publish Your Column in our magazine!

Informational Articles - These are articles that provide information or education on a specific healing or wellness modality, practice, regime or alternative therapy. These articles cannot promote your products or services within the article and should be general in nature. Your article is an opportunity for the reader to connect with you and must be accompanied with an advertisment. The length of these articles are as follows: Business Card Ad - 300 Word Informational Article, Quarter Page Ad - 500 Word Informational Article, Half Page Ad - 600 Word Informational Article, Full Page Ad - 700 Word Informational Article. Contact Us for the Special Rates to Publish Your Article.

Business Profiles -These articles contain promotional and contact information on your business or service. They allow you to draw interest to your business by fully describing your products,services, uniqueness and benefits. These vary in size from 250 words to 750 words and are a form of advertising. We offer these profiles at affordable rates to allow businesses of any size to become visible in their market!

General Information:

The Violet Ray does not pay for any article submissions and charges writers to publish their articles. We offer writers the opportunity to include a full page or 1/2 page article for the cost of printing and production. Articles are an opportunity for you to influence and connect with the reader. Even though the article content does not endorse you or your business in any way, you are introduced through the 30 word Bio at the end of the article.

Content:

Personal and Informational Article submissions CANNOT endorse yourself or your company within the main content and are a platform for you to share your inspiration and wisdom with our readers. Through your article you are building a relationship with the reader and establishing a reputation. This means that you cannot profile your business or use phrases such as: "In my business or practice, I do such and such..."

If your article endorses yourself and your business then it would be classified as a promotional and/or advertising article. As such the rates for Advertorials or Business Profiles will apply.

If you have used any reference material to help to prepare your article, it is vital that you include the proper credits along with your article. Without acknowledging these sources you may be found liable of copyright infringement.

The Violet Ray has the right to refuse any submissions that do not meet our requirements. We reserve the right to edit articles for length, clarity and content at the editor’s discretion.
