Spring 2011 - February, March, April You have often talked about our loved ones always being close to us after they have crossed over and for the most part, that is comforting. I have a question about the people who you did not love here on earth. I have never had a close relationship with my mother-in-law; in fact it has been a very hard relationship. I try to keep it pleasant for my husband and daughter, but I would not take comfort in knowing that, after she passes she would be walking close with me. Does a person need to accept that they are near, whether we want them to be or not? ~ Karen M., Calgary, Alberta ~ Great question! When "we" cross over, we only change form, we really do not go anywhere, we operate at a vibration that the physical eyes cannot see. So, she cannot be separate from you or your family. The great news is that we all heal in every way; mentally, emotionally and physically when we let go of our physical bodies. We learn from our mistakes that are made in the physical life. When your mother-in-law passes, I can assure you that she will only come to you with love and compassion. The knowledge that she will be able to watch over your husband and your daughter should help you to be at ease with the knowledge that she is close by. Think of her as a "guardian" to the people that mean the most to you here on earth. Since my grandmother passed 3 years ago, she has visited me several times in my dreams. I have spoken to a couple of intuitives who told me that my grandmother wants to talk to me, but they have never enlightened me as to what my grandmother wants to say to me. Do you have any thoughts on this? ~ Jenny M., Leduc, Alberta ~ It is so wonderful that you are receiving visits from your grandmother. You must have meant a lot to her. I really believe that if Grandma can visit you in your dreams, she would give you a message if she needed to. Many times, they want us simply to know that they are still "here", still very close and that they are really not as gone as we may feel sometimes. I really do not think that you are missing anything, Grandma wants you to know that she is ever close by. What a lovely gift. I lost a close friend a few months ago in a horrible accident. I really believe that I feel him close by when I am quiet with my thoughts. I often feel a pull or tug to go sit on a couch in my basement that we used to sit on have long chats. Is this really him? ~ Shannon I.,Edmonton, Alberta ~ I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend. I have no doubt at all that you are feeling him close. He is trying to show you that he is not really gone. Loved ones often visit us a lot when they first cross, as that is when our grief is the heaviest and we need the reassurance the most that they are still with us. It makes perfect sense that you would be drawn to the place where you used to visit in this world to visit with him in his world. Any time you have a moment where you stop and think of him...it’s him.....making a connection with you. Kim Dennis is a proven clairvoyant medium who resides in Calgary.
